Dennis brings over 36 years of diversified commercial office and retail real estate redevelopment, leasing, and management experience to leasing and managing Point West Corporate Plaza. He joined the Tsakopoulos organization in February 2005 as Vice President – Asset Manager - Office & Property Manager, being responsible for the leasing and management of the Point West Corporate Plaza office complex in Sacramento as well as for special projects relative to other parent company Tsakopoulos Investments office and retail properties. He was also a member of the development phase leasing and management team for Tsakopoulos Investments’ new 24-story, 433,000 square foot 500 Capitol Mall Bank of the West Office Tower which opened in September 2009. Prior to joining Tsakopoulos, Dennis was with Trizec Office Properties from May 1998 until February 2005 as a Leasing & General Manager. He was Trizec’s lead representative in the Sacramento area market, being primarily responsible for the leasing and management of the 10-building, 530,000 square foot Capital Center II & III office park in Rancho Cordova. He also led the leasing and management team responsible for the 346,000 square foot One Concord Center high-rise building in the East Bay Area from its acquisition in December 1998 until its sale in September 2000. He was also involved in the property acquisition and due diligence activities associated with the acquisition of One Concord Center. Prior to joining Trizec, Dennis was General Manager and Director of Office & Commercial Properties for TrizecHahn Centers Management and the Hahn Company for 7 years and was responsible for the leasing and management of the 1.2 million square foot Downtown Plaza retail and office complex during and after its 300,000 square foot retail expansion and renovation. Preceding this he was General Manager of this mixed-use urban complex for 10 years for Downtown Plaza Associates, its original developers. During this period he was an integral member of the team which planned Downtown Plaza’s expansion/renovation, obtained the City of Sacramento and Redevelopment Agency approvals for it, and put together the related partnership and development agreements. Prior to that he was Assistant Property Manager of the 15-story, 350,000 square foot 555 Capitol Mall office building in downtown Sacramento as well as of the original 900,000 square foot Downtown Plaza project for 2 years. Dennis was a founding Board Member, is a Past President and three-time Board Director, and is currently a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Sacramento. He served as a founding Director and Executive Committee member for the Downtown Sacramento Partnership and was a multiple term Director for the Sacramento Transportation Management Association as well as for the Make-A- Wish Foundation and Christian Brothers High School Alumni Association, and is a graduate of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Sacramento Program. Dennis is a long-time Rotary Club of Sacramento member and is currently a Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation Trustee and Co-Chair of the Rotary Club of Sacramento’s Literacy Program Committee and a member of its Sacramento Century Bike Ride & Oktoberfest Charity Event Steering Committee. Dennis holds the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and the Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker. He received an M.B.A. with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance from California State University, Sacramento and a B.A. in English Literature and Diversified Liberal Arts from St. Mary’s College of California.
